I’ve produced 3631 words over the last two days. It’s not as many as I had hoped, but I am getting ever closer to the fifty thousand word goal.
NaNoWriMo is about getting the words on the page, rather than procrastinating and waiting for inspiration to strike. However, in between writing binges, I took a long walk today, and that helped some of the ideas I’ve generated over the last twenty five days settle. I can feel that inspiration is lurking in the margins of my head.
The combination producing raw word count, then allowing time to mentally process what I have done seems more effective this time round. I suspect that much of what I have written this month will not end up in the final novel, but the NaNoWriMo process has revealed a few characters and plot changes that probably will.
Progress: 30250/ 50000 words.
